Dr Darryl Mercieca loves his profession and the opportunities it presents to work with patients at a very personal level. Throughout his career, he has taken a very considered approach towards his continuous professional development, focusing at each stage on what the greatest needs of his patients have been. He established his first dental practice in 1994. Three years later, he went back to the University of Sydney to study Advanced Dental Sedation. When he integrated IV sedation Dentist into his practice, he was the first dentist to do so in Greater Western Sydney.

This immediately drew a significant number of patients with complex presentations to him. Todate, Dr Mercieca has performed IV sedations Dentist on over 18,000 patients in practices Sydney-wide. His relationships with patients experiencing dental phobias came to underpin his consulting practice in general–he is extremely empathetic, educative, calm and a gentle person.

Dr Mercieca is focused on offering dental sedation services to other dentists. Mel has over 20 years of experience in the dental field and has always had a passion for working with patients. She values her patients' comfort, right to be well-informed, and willingness to adopt practices that will gradually improve their health. Her mission is to assist every patient in developing a positive relationship with their oral health and dentist. Her professionalism, patience, and care have been a rock for countless patients, especially those who are afraid of dental procedures.

Mel, who recently completed a Diploma in Nursing, says she wants to improve her skills and knowledge in patient care and broaden her horizons in the healthcare industry. She considers herself fortunate to be working with such an amazing team that shares her values while also pursuing their own professional development. Mel, a mother of three and grandmother to two, prefers to travel when she is not caring for others.

Alexander Petratos has over 20 years of experience as a Dental Technician and 15 years as a Dental Prosthetist. Alexander, a perfectionist at heart, strives to provide his patients with functional, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing dentures—whether full, partial, or implant retained dentures.

He easily establishes rapport with adults and children alike, and can be seen directly for any type of denture work or mouthguard fitting, saving patients time and effort. Alexander is a family man with three beautiful children when he is not working his magic. He lets his hair down by going for a clinical finish on the football field or travelling to far-flung destinations for a bite of adventure fishing.
